My Path of Sadness
This morning I started up the computer, fired up Twhirl, started to open the Google Feed Reader, and prepare for a radio interview on a morning show.
One little tweet caught my attention first:

I didn’t know who (Pinky379) she was talking about.
Currently I follow 750 or so on Twitter and this name wasn’t one of them.
I headed to Flickr to see what my friends had uploaded recently.
One of the first images I saw was one from Dale Chumbley
They say that Social Media is all about connections. Dale just helped me connect who Pinky379 was. Sheila Lublin is Bill Lublin’s wife. Bill and I met in San Francisco recently. Before that we connected on a strange video thread on Seesmic.
How could you not connect with someone like this?

Going back to my feed reader, I found this post in my “Suggested Reading” folder.
It was written by Benn at AgentGenius
Our Friend Bill Lublin Loses His Wife Today, and Ag Loses a Wonderful Friend
Social Media is indeed all about connecting.
Bill and I did. I now feel his loss, his sadness.
Services for Sheila will be held on Friday August 8, at 10:00am ET at:
Goldstein’s Rosenberg Rafael Sacks Funeral Homes
310 Second Street Pike

The Twitter Week in Review
The Twitter Week in Review“I was honored when Mike Mueller asked me to write the Twitter Week in Review.” Oh yeah, that’s me. Never mind. Hey, that’s how all the other Week in Reviews start. Since nobody volunteered for this week, I’m happy to do it.
I thought I’d offer up some of my favorite highlights. There’s a natural flow to this one. Follow along…
How’s this for attention grabbing…
I knew Kevin from TechTV, he went on to create some little site called Digg He got my attention. Like a lady friend once said to me, “It’s not what you show them that counts, it’s what you don’t show them!”
Sometimes it’s a matter of Synchronicity I spotted this on my twitter feed.
Darth Vader is actually Ben Martin. He’s a with the Virginia Association of REALTORS. http://caeexam.blogspot.com/ The figure below is Will Wheaton He was linking to an Interview Will was a frequent guest on TechTV back in the day. (following the flow?) Was it just me? Or is having these two avatars appear together kind of spooky? (oops! completely unintentional X-File reference – sorry!) How about that they both mention “Hate”. Speaking of which, it’s as good as a time as ever to play “Dark Side of the Rainbow” isn’t it?
It’s a good thing that I captured the VArth Vader avatar of Ben’s because he went and changed it. Not only did he change it, he has other RE twitterers changing theirs too. I agree, VA is a Nice Niche – good job guys!
It’s a search engine just for Twitter. it’s called Summize.
You can search all of Twitter and find just what you are looking for. I did a search for everything mentioning ActiveRain
That’s it for the Twitter Week in Review. I hope you enjoyed it. You can read all the previous Twitter Week in Review’s here: LINK Who’s up to do this next week? Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter (http://twitter.com/mikemueller |
Coincidence?
Maybe. Sometimes it’s a matter of Synchronicity.
I spotted this yesterday on my twitter feed.
Darth Vader is actually Ben Martin. He’s a Real Estate Agent in VA. http://caeexam.blogspot.com/
The figure below is Will Wheaton. You’ll remember him as Gordie in Stand By Me. He was also on Star Trek, The Next Generation as Wesley Crusher.
He was linking to an Interview where he says, “But as a sci-fi fan, we live in a post Phantom Menace world.”
Was it just me? Or is having these two avatars appear together kind of spooky? (oops! completely unintentional X-File reference – sorry!)
Speaking of which, it’s as good as a time as ever to play “Dark Side of the Rainbow” isn’t it?

If you did, would it look like this?
